This is a quilt as you go project using a stitch and flip technique.  This project is designed to be scrappy and is Jelly Roll friendly. We will be making the Strippy Tote.  You can choose which size to make.

Harvest Moon Wool Table Mat *NEW*

This class is a great introduction to working with wool.  We will learn wool basics, how to use fusible with wool, and how to do the buttonhole stitch.  In class we will get all of our pieces cut out and fused down and we will start on our stitching.  You will go home feeling confident about your stitching and able to finish the project on your own.

Think pineapple blocks are difficult? Think again - because this new method from Karin Hellaby makes them Sew Simple!  Start with a square and keep on adding layers until your pineapple explodes in wonderful variations of color and fabric.  It's a fun idea and with no fabric wastage it's “sew economical” too!

Double Wedding Ring Quilt

Learn how to make this beautiful traditional pattern using Sharlene Jorgenson’s templates.  In this class we will be making a three ring tablerunner but you can make as many rings as you wish.  Both pieced and unpieced arcs will be taught.  This pattern, while not for a beginner, goes together accurately and easily and you will find yourself wanting to make more and more!

Colorado Log Cabin Lap Quilt

Learn another way to use the classic log cabin block. It is an easy block to construct and the addition of the stars add the right amount of interest and color to the pattern.  Fabric requirements for twin and queen size will also be on the pattern.

Tumbler Quilt

Master creating one of a kind tumbler block quilts.  Fabric selection, cutting and piecing will be taught using a variety of tumbler block sizes from 1 ¼” to 4”.   In addition, learn how to paper piece a tumbler block miniature quilt.

Jeans Rag Quilt

This is a new and different approach to the familiar rag quilt. This scrappy quilt is all machine pieced and is made from a combination of snippets and fat quarters.  The style is reminiscent of the cathedral windows quilts.

Raw Edge Fusible Technique Workshop

New from our popular award winning teacher Anne Lullie.  Students will learn the “Chicago School of Fusing” trade secrets while also learning fun, fast methods for raw-edge fusible appliqué. Fusing is a technique in which a fusible product is applied to one side of the fabric with a hot iron; then the fabric is cut into shapes or strips, and arranged and ironed onto a background. The fun begins with Anne’s “Fantasy Floral” wall hanging, and she will share creative shortcuts for finishing, binding, and fabric collage. You will be amazed at the endless creative possibilities of this universal technique!

Tumbling Blocks Quilt

Carrie was so excited after learning Billie Lauder’s method for piecing these traditional blocks, she sat down the next day and made a bunch of them – all in about an hour!  You can use this method to piece several traditional blocks easily and accurately.  If you have always avoided blocks with set-in seams, this is your chance to expand your skills!

T-Shirt Quilt Workshop

After several requests, we have decided it was time to run a workshop on the basic techniques for creating a T-Shirt quilt. The workshop will help you to create a design layout, learn proper shirt prep techniques and teach other basic skills for creating a great piece of memorabilia.
