What is a fat quarter? A fat quarter is a quarter of a yard of fabric which measures 18" x 22" (in other words, 1/2 yard of fabric which is then cut in half parallel with the selvedge). Fat quarters are useful because you can cut a larger variety of pieces from them.
What is a snippet? Snippets are 10" squares and are great for making scrappy quilts.
A charm square is a 5" square (previously known as a nickel). Great for making scrappy quilts.
A jelly roll is a roll of 2.5" strips. They are perfect for so many of our favorite patterns.
